Marcus Dawe is a Canberra based serial technology and social entrepreneur. In 2923 he won the Global Laureate Entrepreneur award and the ACT Pearcey Entrepreneur of the Year. Marcus has a background in software development and was a pioneer in Government online.
Marcus is the founder and CEO of MCi Carbon which won the No1 Cleantech startup award at COP26 and is scaling its global climate technology that is turning CO2 emissions into value in carbon embodied materials for use in construction and manufactured products such as cements, plasterboard, glass, paper and many more.
Funded continuously by the Commonwealth and industry investors since 2013 through four successive grants including the first CRC-P round, MCi Carbon is now scaling with its Myrtle demonstration plant on Kooragang Island Newcastle. During for completion at the end of 2024, it will transform captured CO2 from Orica.
