The National Innovation Policy Forum brings together Australian innovation leaders from business, research and boundary-spanning entities that foster industry-research collaboration with policymakers and parliamentarians to tackle common challenges.  “Built Here” puts business and end users at the front. The story is told by the companies that started, scaled and reached new markets, and by the people and communities who are better off for it because of the outcomes of the work with research institutions, investment in R&D, and access to funding that supports innovation. The return is jobs, new industries, stronger supply chains, better health and public good.  

This year, the National Innovation Policy Forum, will be preceded by a showcase in the Great Hall at Parliament House on Monday 12 October from 4:30pm – 6:30pm.  We will showcase the impact of Cooperative Research Centres, NCRIS facilities, ARC funded COEs, Universities, MRIs and R&D-active businesses and industry. The point is to move past the stereotypes and let business and the beneficiaries tell the impact story in plain English but also demonstrate the interconnectedness of the system.
