Linda Lee

Ms Linda Lee is the General Manager of the Department of Industry Science and Resources’ Research and Collaboration Branch and leads the Australian Government’s delivery of the Cooperative Research Centres Program. She has over 20 years of diverse leadership experience spanning policy, research, business development, agri-product commercialisation, land use planning, disaster response and resilience, and participatory science.

Linda has led regional and sector development initiatives, international trade and investment facilitation, and resource management programs. Her experience across three tiers of government, and in the private and not-for-profit sectors, underpins her strategic expertise and her solution-focussed approach to program implementation.

Linda’s advocacy roles have required exceptional engagement and negotiation skills to balance economic development and improved prosperity with environmental outcomes. Having lived and worked across remote and regional Australia and held senior government positions in three jurisdictions, Linda has a strong network of First Nations partners and industry and community stakeholders.

Linda holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Environmental Science, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an alumnus of the National Farmers Federation Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program. She now calls Darwin home where she is a keen contributor to the community and takes full advantage of the outdoor lifestyle the Northern Territory has to offer.
