Isaac Coonan is the Director of the Strategic Partnerships Office at the University of Queensland, responsible for UQ’s business development and strategic relationship management across key priority research portfolios. His focus spans Defence, Space, and National Security, as well as Environment and Agrifood, supporting the University in championing industry-led research that drives tangible outcomes.

Isaac has extensive experience in economic and strategic partnership development within the Australian innovation sector, with particular expertise in the property, construction, and development industries.

Having worked across innovation labs, global venture capital firms, government, universities, and Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs), Isaac takes a holistic approach to fostering sustainable, outcome-driven partnerships between industry, government, and the tertiary sector.
