Professor Bronwyn Harch joined Griffith University as Vice President (Industry and External Engagement) in October 2023. Bronwyn is a former interim Queensland Chief Scientist, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at The University of Queensland, Executive Director - Institute for Future Environments at QUT, and Business Unit Leader CSIRO division of Mathematics, Informatics & Statistics/Computational Informatics (now Data61).
Bronwyn is a leader in research, innovation and partnership strategy with a passion for brokering transdisciplinary collaboration through private-public alliances. She has had a distinguished career working as an applied statistician and data scientist focused on the monitoring and modelling of environmental systems – within Queensland, across Australia and globally.
Bronwyn has been a leader in the CRC community through her leadership of the Food Agility CRC bid and its establishment, and more recently having served on the CRC Advisory Committee for the federal government.
