Natalie Chapman is a dynamic force in STEM commercialisation and marketing. She has spent over 20 years transforming groundbreaking ideas into thriving businesses across many sectors.
Her expertise spans critical minerals, recycling and clean energy, nuclear, environmental, medical, IT, space and education sectors.
Natalie's journey began at ANSTO, where she spent a decade pioneering marketing and commercialisation initiatives. She played a key role in the commercialisation of RemLife software for the power industry, a standout success from the Welded Structures CRC.
Her passion for innovation led her to Smart Services CRC, where she spearheaded the commercialisation of disruptive ICT technologies, including iSeeVC and Cruiser Interactive and co-founded gemaker in 2011. As the Managing Director of gemaker she has led her team to deliver more than 200 projects for research organisations and innovative businesses, and helped clients secure more than $270M in funding. In 2017, gemaker won a NSW Telstra Business Award.
Natalie co-led the development of a globally adopted competency framework for technology transfer professionals and was awarded the UOW Alumni Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Natalie also serves as Corporate Communications Manager for ASX-listed Alkane Resources, holds a board position with Women in STEMM Australia and is an honorary Professor of Practice at the University of Wollongong.
